Location
OnTheGo uses your location only to remind you when you arrive at or leave a place. iOS watches your reminder areas on your device (geofencing). For reminders to work in the background you can allow “Always” location access and Precise Location. Your location is never sent to us or to any third party, and you can change access at any time in iOS Settings.
Reminders, places and alarms
Your reminders, favorite places and settings are stored on your device. Notifications, and alarms for reminders you set to “Ring as an alarm” (iOS 26 or later), are scheduled locally by iOS. The Home Screen widget reads your reminders from the app on the same device.
Place search
When you search for a place, your search text and the map area are sent to Apple Maps to find results. Apple’s privacy policy applies to that service.
iCloud sync (optional, Premium)
If you turn on iCloud Sync, your places and location reminders are kept in your private iCloud database through Apple CloudKit. Only you can access this data; we cannot. Quick reminders stay on the device where you created them.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple with your Apple Account. We never receive your payment details. You can manage or cancel a subscription in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.
No tracking, ads or analytics
You don’t need an account. OnTheGo contains no advertising, tracking or third-party analytics, and it does not track you across other apps or websites.
Deleting your data
Delete reminders and places in the app at any time. Deleting the app removes its data from your device, although iOS backups may keep a copy. To remove synced data, go to iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
Support, children and changes
When you email us, we use your address and message only to reply. The app is not directed at children. We may update this page when the app changes; the date above shows the current version. Questions and data requests:
